Devon, also referred to as Devonshire, is the largest of England's South Western counties. Devon, like it's neighbour Cornwall, boasts both a north coast and south coast, giving it a diversity that makes it one of the UK's most popular holiday destinations.

Holiday Homes in Devon are available all over the county thanks to more than 15,000 being available at the last count. Whilst a large portion of Devon's holiday homes are found in the 3 main cities of Exeter, Plymouth and Torbay, most of Devon's holiday homes are in rural areas around it's coast.  Devon is also home to the largest open space in southern England, Dartmoor National Park.

Devon's East Coast is part of England's only natural UNESCO World Heritage site for the area known fondly as the Jurassic Coast. It's an extremely popular area for visitors and one that is a must for anyone planning a visit to Devon.

Devon is also a county largely reliant on tourism for it's income, like neighboring Cornwall. Thanks to two outstandingly beautiful National Parks - Exmoor and Dartmoor - Devon has many reasons for visitors to return year after year. As such however, holiday homes in Devon tend to be booked up a long way in advance, so to secure the holiday home you really want you'd be well advised to find and book up as early as you can.
